U.S. accuses Oracle of overbilling (Investor's Business Daily) - Investor's Business Daily - The Justice Dept. filed a civil suit against the enterprise software maker for allegedly overcharging the gov't on contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The agency says Oracle (NMS:ORCL) failed to offer the gov't the same discounts that it offered commercial customers. The claims were originally made by former Oracle exec Paul Frascella. Motorola tops despite lower sales (Investor's Business Daily) - Investor's Business Daily - The telecom equipment giant swung to a Q2 profit of 9 cents a share, beating by a penny, as gross margin rose to 37% from 31%. Revenue fell 1.5% to $5.4 bil, but topped projections. Sales of mobile devices fell 6%, and sales of home products, including set-top boxes, fell 13%. Enterprise mobile computing sales rose 10%.
